SQUEEEEEE!!!

WOOHOO!!!  I’m headed to Paris!!  This first trip is intended to be the kick off for my blog and my YouTube channel for “The Wandering Genealogist”.  I’ve posted a few posts and videos before in the past, but the idea now is to get a regular thing going.  First stop is Paris!  After this my next trip will be in June or July (hopefully), a long cruise to a TBA destination (hopefully the Baltic), and I already have a couple of weeks booked in England in October 2019 – one week in Stratford-upon-Avon and one in Montecute, Somerset.  In between I hope to take short weekend trips around the United States, Canada, Mexico, and South America.

During my travels I’ll touch on historical locations as well as being a typical travel blog and vlog.  Having been a genealogist for the last three decades (since the age of 12), and having worked in the travel industry for the last 15 years, I have a somewhat unique perspective on travel and history.  I have no idea what will happen exactly but I’m looking forward to the journey.  I hope that you will follow along with me 🙂

She doesn’t want to see me go.  Awww (sorry)

As I’m writing this I’m house and fur baby sitting in the Hollywood Hills for my best friends who are currently vacationing in Amsterdam.  I’m leaving in just a few minutes for the LAX airport for Paris where I’ll be meeting them (another friend will be taking over the fur baby duties.

I’ll be posting here as often as possible but I’ll also try to start up my Instagram (wandering.genealogist) and Twitter (@wanderinggen) for my regular quick updates and will upload videos when/if I can.  If I’m not able to do one or two in Paris they will go up when I return.

HERE WE GO!!!
